London Calling & God Answering

This post was intended to be filled with the thoughts and prayer requests of the team that I was planning to get during the "British Invasion" youth group event. Well that didn't go nearly as planned when a sprinkler head in the church gym busted dumping massive amounts of water onto the floor. But I think it serves as a reminder that while we think we have everything together for a trip, God's right there reminding us that He is very much in control. The pipe spewing nasty, smelly water is a reminder of God’s power and love.

What? Power and love from a pipe?

Well, while we were all standing there watching the ceiling rain down its fetid mess, God had a plan for that. What His plan is, we have no idea but it is a great image of a missions trip. For a trip, you can only know so much about what’s going to happen even though you mayhave an itinerary for the day.  But the reality of what actually happens is up to God 100%. For this trip we need prayer. We need continual prayer, especially when things don't go as planned and when they don't, because they won’t, pray for the team to trust in God that though His plan may seem unconventional, we would know it is for His glory and not our own (and for our good).
